Search engines reacting as expected to site changes

I love it when the search engines do exactly what you would expect them to do. As expected, Google and Yahoo are dropping some old urls from the site, but have not yet picked up any new urls. Good old MSN is quickly starting to index the new urls. So many things about SEO are uncertain. It sure is nice when the predictable happens. I would have predicted this exact scenario to happen, and it is happening. Of course, it would have been more interesting to report the unpredictable, but sometimes the predictable is worth noting.
