Googleguy gives us a few tidbits of information

Googleguy finally showed his face again over at WMW, and is discussing a few things that may be of interest to SEOs. I’ll do a quick recap of some of the things he said so far (or at least my interpretation of what he said):

Datacenter 72.14.207.104 is undergoing a new infrastructure, that is “orthogonal/independent of many other changes”. This new infrastructure should be complete near the end of the summer, at which time, he or someone may begin discussions about datacenters.
72.14.207.104 is the datacenter which has more accurate site: queries as well as improving results for other queries as well.
The recent monthly data refreshes (6/27 and 7/27) will likely become more frequents, perhaps once a week
These data refreshes only affect one particular algorithm

This particular discussion appears to be what prompted Matt Cutts to open up his blog for more webmaster questions.
