Finally, I have Internet access again. The satellite was installed today and I’m up and running. So, the first thing I did was run my rankings reports which haven’t run for about a month now. With a few thousand phrases that I check, it wasn’t possible to do that manually all this time. What did I find?
Most of the phrases had normal up and down fluctuations. However, one site came out of some kind of Google penalty box (or maybe some filter changed drastically) and one site came out of the sandbox. (Are we still calling it that?). Other than those two sites, all the rest only fluxed up or down by a few spots.
In other words, I didn’t miss much. 
If you have any questions about your satellite connection I can help you. I have been IT manager for a satellite Internet provider for about 1 year.
I know all the little secrets.

Ok, it seems a little slow, and the installer said it would speed up after a couple of days. That sounds like BS to me, but I’ll take his word for it for the moment. What do you think of that? If it doesn’t get faster though, then it’s definitely slower than either cable or DSL was for me. However, it is infinitely faster than dialup, so I’m not really complaining.
