Another blog review service? SponsoredReviews

Ah, the value of an email signature. I was reading an email from Jarrod Hunt of TextLinkBrokers.com, and noticed some links in his signature. One of them was http://www.sponsoredreviews.com . Hmmm, I thought. That sounds like PayPerPost and ReviewMe. I wonder if it’s that kind of thing. Sure enough, it is! Why hasn’t this made the rounds yet? The domain was registered on September 18, 2006, so it’s not that old. Looking at their blog, it only has one entry dated December 9th.

Looking at the site, I see this:

You write the review in your own tone, and can be as critical as needed. Constructive criticism is encouraged, but rude or hateful reviews will be declined.

We also require full-disclosure that the review is a sponsored one. You can simply state the words “Sponsored Review” or you can integrate it into the content.

So, that’s good.

Then there’s this bit, which is a little different:

There are two ways to participate:

1. You can create a profile for your blog(s) in order to attract advertisers. Advertisers will purchase reviews from you, which you have the option to accept or decline.
2. You can also search for advertisers directly, and bid on jobs. Our unique bidding system allows you to negotiate your rates with advertisers in order to maximize your earnings.

And this:

How much can I earn Writing Reviews?

With SponsoredReviews, you set your own price. Depending on the size of your readership and the quality of your blog posts, you can earn anywhere from $10 to $10,000 for writing a review.

Another nice touch is payment via PayPal every two weeks.

Ah, and the final touch is this. If you attempt to sign up, you are informed that they are in Beta Testing and will be launching shortly.

So…there’s the scoop on a new service headed our way.

For just a $5 tip, you can advertise your site or affiliate link on SEO Scoop. Find out how.

If you are the first to "discover" any of my posts in StumbleUpon, one of the following categories would probably be the most appropriate to place it into. You don't have to choose one of these, of course, but based on what I usually write about, there's a good chance any of my posts will fall into one of these categories.

Business * Computers * Computer Graphics * Computer Hardware * Computer Security * Databases * Ecommerce * Internet * Internet Tools * Linux/Unix * Marketing * Search * Self Improvement * Web development * Weblogs(Blogs) * Windows * Writing
