One two punch - Is Google overrated?
Just saw the link on Marketing Pilgrim pointing to the open debate between Donna Bogatin and Danny Sullivan, in which each presents opposing points of view regarding Google’s worth. It’s a pretty good fight, and both sides present convincing arguments. Personally, I think Danny won the battle, despite the fact that my own views lean more towards those of Donna’s. (Hmmm…maybe it’s the whole Donna thing). Anyway, it’s well worth reading and the topic itself is one worth discussing.
So, two questions for you.
1. Who won the debate?
2. Despite who you believe is the winner, which side do lean towards personally?

Agree that Danny was the winner, there. It appeared to me that Donna didn’t have quite the depth of knowledge to argue substantively. I also felt like it was a bit of a cheap shot at the end when she responded without any input from Danny.
