Funny and brilliant marketing
Number One on the Google is the title of this brilliant video created by PushON, an Internet Marketing firm. It does a glorious job of encapsulating the typical thought process of a man thinking of promoting a business via the “interweb”, as he calls it. We’ve all seen this type of thing in real life, but to watch it on video just brings tears to my eyes as I LOL.
Despite the fact that our world is becoming net savvy, there are gazillions of people out there who don’t yet understand it. These are the people who eventually reach out to us to perform our “rocket science” wizardry. Of course, before they ever get around to contacting us, they usually go through a myriad of friends, relations, and shysters who proceed to make every mistake in the book.
This is why we SEOs tend to focus on educating the masses so much, not necessarily on the specific details of everything we do, but on the general ideas. Luckily, in this “interweb” world we live in, we have tools to help us convey the message in new and interesting ways. That’s what Number One on the Google is all about. Conveying a marketing message in a funny, interesting way that everyone can easily relate to. I’ll be laughing about this one all day.
