Now, that's a throne I can rule from! :-D

I'm not sure where anyone got any kind of idea like that, but I surely don't want power. Heck no! That comes with way too much responsibility. The only power I like these days is the kind that comes through the electrical lines to keep my computer running and the blender mixing up the margaritas.

Here-here. Excellent comment, DD.

In following this little riff I see you're being accused of making a power play for the throne of SEO.

I'm not quite sure what that throne includes, or when it was vacated (or even who was sitting on it before it was vacated), or how the throne is bejeweled, or even what duties come with ruling from that throne, but I think that those who want it least might be the best candidates to sit in it.

So I think you might want to hold off on the retirement thing for awhile, DD. There's a throne w/ your name on it.

(Actually, there is. I snuck into your house with a sharpie. Go check your bathroom.)

Heh, baiting me, Rand? As entertaining as these cat-fights can sometimes be, I'm trying to stay clear of them. But let me just say this: Even if one party is right about the topic in question (and one is, imo), each party should be respectful as possible. The blogosphere is still in its toddler stage, and the toddlers are still learning how to play well together. (And that refers to all of us, btw). The conversations we have online should be no less respectful than those we have face to face.

No, not a cf issue. I had to move from shared hosting to a dedicated server for one particular site. The move wasn't as straightforward as I would have liked.
