Connect the paid link dots…Google buys links for clients

Ok, granted, this is via a circuitous route, but because Google bought DoubleClick, which means they also own Performics (an SEO company), and Performics lists some of their clients on their site, and some of those clients obviously participate in buying text links (which are not nofollowed), then via this circuitous route, we can claim that Google is likely responsible for arranging for paid text links for many big clients. Can this get any funnier or more embarrassing for Google? See all the juicy details over at Smackdown!

For just a $5 tip, you can advertise your site or affiliate link on SEO Scoop. Find out how.

If you are the first to "discover" any of my posts in StumbleUpon, one of the following categories would probably be the most appropriate to place it into. You don't have to choose one of these, of course, but based on what I usually write about, there's a good chance any of my posts will fall into one of these categories.

Business * Computers * Computer Graphics * Computer Hardware * Computer Security * Databases * Ecommerce * Internet * Internet Tools * Linux/Unix * Marketing * Search * Self Improvement * Web development * Weblogs(Blogs) * Windows * Writing

I think they’ve rattled the hornets nest just too hard this time and made a perfectly legit practice not.

I object to being told how to run my business as I am sure others do.

    *sighs*
