Hey, that was my idea!

What happens while you are busy being uninspired? You find out that someone released an SEO tool before you did.

That’s right. I had an idea which I passed along to a friend who was working on creating a SERPs cache tool. It was functioning in draft mode, but was not ready for public release. Darn it! Actually, I’m not upset, I’m just being dramatic for drama’s sake. Serparchive’s tool looks like a good one (although I haven’t actually tried it yet). But its feature-set is rich, so kudos to them!

How many good ideas do you have that either never get off the ground, or are in progress but someone gets it out quicker than you? This kind of thing happens all the time, and if you’re an idea person like I am, it happens often. More often than not, my ideas just never get off the ground at all, but when they are actually in process and I find out someone else got there first, it’s a little deflating. Still, it’s always a lesson well-learned and simply reiterates the value of “gettin’ it done” (even if that means putting it out in BETA mode).

Ok, now I’m going to go sign up to use that tool. Then I’m going to sift through all my ideas and decide which one I’m not going to let “slip away” this time.

If you are the first to "discover" any of my posts in StumbleUpon, one of the following categories would probably be the most appropriate to place it into. You don't have to choose one of these, of course, but based on what I usually write about, there's a good chance any of my posts will fall into one of these categories.
