Thumbs up for Jennifer Laycock’s latest series
by DazzlinDonna
For the past five weeks, I’ve been following Jennifer Laycock’s excellent series on Making Link Bait and Viral Marketing Work. I’m sad to see it end, but if you’ve missed it, be sure to check it out. All ten parts are listed below.
- Part One – The importance of a good headline
- Part Two – Make your campaign easy to spread
- Part Three – Find and exploit motivating factors
- Part Four – Use existing networks
- Part Five – Building relationships
- Part Six – Using other people’s resources
- Part Seven – Scalability
- Part Eight – The need to act quickly
- Part Nine – Marketing the unexpected
- Part Ten – capitalizing off of your competitor’s failures
You can simply glance at the titles of each of the ten parts to see the value in each of these strategies. In fact, if you didn’t know this was a series on link bait and viral marketing, you could just as easily apply it to many other aspects of business. Good marketing strategy is good marketing strategy, no matter what it’s called. Jennifer does a great job of clearly explaining how to apply these classic marketing strategies to new(ish) Internet marketing techniques.
I can’t wait for Jennifer’s next series.
