Yes, mobile web use is taking off at an alarming rate; faster than many realize I think. Also, I think many people fail to recognize the differences between mobile sites and regular Internet sites. It sounds harsh, but I like to look at it this way: The visitors to your site are like everyone else; they want to put in the least amount of effort for the most reward. The way I see it, if you keep this in mind and focus on what it is like to be a user rather than the supplier, you’ll ace it every time.

I found it interesting that Europeans use it more than Americans, but I don’t think this will last long with more and more people moving over to smartphones. I’m really interested to see how it and its search systems evolve.

I think I know the conference you were talking about… was it this by chance? Regardless, it is well worth the 45 mins or so it takes to watch. Fascinating!
