SMS Crossword Puzzle

September 6, 2007 by DazzlinDonna · 8 Comments

puzzleMore than a year and a half ago, I first got excited about a print magazine that was going to debut just for us – Search Marketing Standard. Several editions later, I wanted to celebrate this great little magazine by following its lead. In this last edition (Fall 2007), SMS published a crossword puzzle near the back of the magazine. I thought it would be fun to emulate this, so I created a crossword puzzle that uses words and phrases pulled directly from the last 3 editions of SMS. You can probably guess at some of them, but others might require that you actually have the magazine in front of you. If you haven’t been a subscriber to the magazine since at least the Spring 2007 edition, you might not be able to get all of the answers right.

I was honored to be asked to contribute to the magazine, and I did my best to make it read-worthy. It started out being a long, rambling article, but an editor “convinced” me to trim it down substantially. LOL. That’s why there are editors in the world…to keep us from rambling. :) So check out SMS’s latest blog entry that gives details on all the upcoming articles in next month’s issue (including yours truly).

Search Marketing Standard, the print magazine that debuted this year, will be sending out its Winter issue next week. It is going to include articles by some well-known names, including Garrett French, Eric Ward, Kevin Gold, and Rand Fishkin, and it will be covering major new trends, such as Social Search, Mobile Search as well as targeting the Hispanic market. I’ve enjoyed the first two issues, and am looking forward to this one.
