SEOmoz just released the 2007 version of their Web 2.0 Awards. Nobody does this kind of thing better than SEOmoz. If you are trying to figure out what it takes to make great linkbait, study what SEOmoz has done with these kinds of articles. If you put in the same amount of time and effort to produce quality content like that, you’ll have more linkbait than you know what to do with. SEOmoz deserves a linkbait award for their Web 2.0 awards!

Any time you get 34 well-known SEOs together to score various SEO tactics, you’re going to end up with an interesting report. And while such a report can be highly useful to newbies especially, it is precisely the newbies who need to be careful. Newbies: Don’t take the results of this survey as absolute fact.

The Rebirth of SEOmoz

Rand and his team have launched their new SEOmoz site. It includes a user-submitted blog section, where each member can have their own blog, called YOUmoz. Voting is enabled, and popular user posts will make it to the SEOmoz blog itself. That’s pretty cool. They also offer a Premium user feature now, where at $39/month, premium users get access to special tools and content. I’m sure there’s probably more that I haven’t discovered yet, but that’s what I’ve noticed so far (besides the obvious change in design). Will be interesting to see how this works for them.
