Just wanted to quickly point out a very cool poster-sized graphic available with lots of tips on optimizing for universal search. You can download it here: Internet Marketing 2009: Universal Search Optimization Chart
Some of SEO’s heavy-hitters contributed tips for this poster, and it’s got some great info on it. It’s actually big enough that it could be printed out on poster size paper and used to decorate your office wall with! Really useful chart. I think video optimization is the next big thing. However, there are currently two ends of the spectrum – high value content that can be searched easily and low value user generated content that operates in an environment that is currently very unpredictable. This makes it difficult for marketers to simply jump on board right away and I think it may take a while.
